Cu un ritm moderat de crestere, acesta se dezvolta foarte bine in plin soare, se adapteaza pe toate tipurile de sol si se uda moderat. Tolereaza fara probleme vantul si inghetul. Nu necesita ingrijiri speciale: udare moderata, mai putin in primul an cand trebuie acordata o atentie deosebita, deoarece planta nu este inradacinata.
