Chamaerops humilis este din ce in ce mai des intalnit in birouri si parcuri. Frunzele au forma unor eventaie, fiind foarte adanc crestate. Chamaerops humilis se ingrijeste la fel de usor ca orice palmier. Dar, spre deosebire de multe dintre specii, acesta s-a adaptat destul de bine la perioadele reci, putand rezista chiar si pana la -10C. Ca si conditii generale, palmierul are nevoie de lumina, apa si minerale, iar pamantul trebuie sa fie bogat in minerale. Se uda regulat, cu putina apa, avand grija ca pamantul ghiveciului sa nu fie niciodata uscat. Chamaerops humilis suporta foarte bine umbra, dar este de preferat sa fie asezat in incaperi luminoase.
